TGIF...I think August 09 2013, 0 Comments

Happy Friday, all!  I hope your day is going better than mine so far.  After a few weeks of beautiful early fall-type weather, with temps in the mid 70s to low 80s and lower humidity, today has brought all of that to an end.  I woke up at 7AM to a flash flood warning on my iPhone and walked outside to realize we had already gotten quite a few inches of rain.  After letting the dogs out, I checked the barn, moved horses out of a few flooded stalls, and called the girl who feeds in the AM to give her a heads up as to what to expect.  Then I headed inside to make myself some much needed coffee.

Mind you, my farm is on a mountain in northern NJ.  I am on the boarder of NY State (by a mere few miles), on High Point Mountain - the highest elevation in NJ.  Yes, we flooded this morning, and no, we didn't flood in Hurricane Sandy, and haven't flooded like this since Hurricane Irene.  T.G.I.F. indeed.  Sigh.

So here I am working on the new layout for the site, and of course it's a Murphy's Law kind of day.  To that end, I apologize if there are any glitches, hitches, hiccups, or other such formatting or page errors as you browse around the site.  I promise me and my cup of coffee are working very hard to get this resolved as soon as possible!  And if you find anything that's not working quite right, just drop me a line at and I promise to look into it as soon as I can.

In the meantime, we'd love to hear what you think of the new (and soon to be very improved) layout.  We've added the ability to browse saddles by brand and size, expanded the menu options, and also have some new great brands that will be added to the site in the days ahead!  We really hope you like it, and thank all of you for your patience as we work through these updates.  As a thanks to all of you for being our loyal customers, we're offering free shipping on all domestic orders (excluding saddles) placed from now through next Friday with code TGIF.

And to all of you out there showing at the Sussex County Horse Show, good luck and stay dry and safe! The team was there last night and while we avoided the downpours in our covered seats, we were impressed with all the riders out there who did an incredible job despite the weather and footing.  We wish you all the best of luck today, and to our family, we hope your Friday is a dry, happy, horsey one!
